OstomyChoices is a community product catalog—not a clinic, pharmacy, store, or substitute for professional care.

1. What this service does
You can browse community-submitted ostomy products, create an account, suggest products, like products, and share personal experiences. Information may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Verify product details with the manufacturer and ask a qualified clinician whether a product is appropriate for you.
2. Medical and emergency disclaimer
Nothing on OstomyChoices is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not delay care because of something posted here. For urgent symptoms or an emergency, contact local emergency services or a qualified healthcare professional.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account information. Keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity under your account and should tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect misuse.
4. What you may post
Post useful product facts and your own honest experience. Do not post medical records, insurance details, another person’s information, illegal content, harassment, spam, malware, misleading endorsements, or material you do not have the right to share. Disclose any relationship with a manufacturer or seller.
5. Moderation and community content
Submissions and edits may be reviewed before publication. We may edit for clarity, reject, hide, or remove content or accounts that violate these terms or create safety, privacy, or legal risk. We do not promise to publish or preserve every submission.
6. Permission to display your posts
You keep ownership of what you create. You give OstomyChoices a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, format, display, and distribute your submitted content for operating and promoting the service. You can ask us to remove your content, though copies may remain where legally required or in routine backups.
7. Brands, links, and independence
Product names and trademarks belong to their owners. Listing a product is not an endorsement. External sites have their own rules and privacy practices. Unless clearly stated, OstomyChoices is not affiliated with manufacturers, sellers, or healthcare providers.
8. No warranties; limits
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law permits, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions made using community content. Rights that cannot legally be waived still apply.
9. Changes and ending access
We may change or discontinue features and may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the service and, when appropriate, by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time.
